Family: First Time Using CareApp? Family Step-by-Step Guide

Weâre excited to have you join the CareApp community! Hereâs a simple step-by-step guide to get started, log in, and keep up with updates about your loved one.
1. Create Your Account
To join CareApp you first need to be invited by your care provider.
1. Receive an invitation to CareApp
Your invitation will be sent to your email address. Don't forget to check your inbox and spam/junk folders if you can't immediately see your invitation to CareApp.
Your invitation will be from CareApp and will look very similar to the example below.

If you have not yet received an email invitation to CareApp please see the Connect with a loved-one page (for family) on the CareApp website here or ask your team on-site.
2. Accept the Invitation
Click the âAccept invitation to CareAppâ button on the email invitation.

3. Create an account
Click âCreate Accountâ if you are creating a new CareApp account.

If you have an existing account click âSign In With Existing Accountâ.

4. Create your Password
Enter your First and Last Name and create a password - you will need to enter the password twice to ensure there are no mistakes.

5. Complete the Account Signup
Once you have filled in your password and created your account, you just need to Complete the Signup of your account.Â
Click âComplete Signupâ to activate your account.

Congratulations! You now have a CareApp account!
Scroll down the home page feed to see any posts that have been created, and click on any of the tabs to explore.

2. Log in to CareApp
đ How Do I Log Into My CareApp Account?
Logging in is quick and easy â youâll just need:
An active CareApp account (more on that below!)
A smart device (phone, tablet, iPad etc) or a laptop / computer with a web browser
â Whatâs an Active CareApp Account?
An active account means:
Youâve accepted your CareApp invitation
Youâve created a password
Your account has not been deactivated
Donât have an account yet?
đ Request an invitation to join CareApp
Mobile
đą Logging In on Mobile (Phone or Tablet)
Download CareApp from the App Store or Google Play.
Open the CareApp app.
Enter your email address in the top box.

Enter your password in the bottom box.
Tip: Tap the đď¸ icon to view what you're typing.
Press âLoginâ.
If your details are correct, youâll land straight on your home screen!

đť Logging In on Web (Laptop or Computer)
Head to: https://app.careapp.com.au/auth

Enter your email address in the top box.

Enter your password in the bottom box.

Tip: Use the đď¸ icon to double-check your password.
Click âLoginâ.
If everythingâs correct, CareApp will load and take you straight to your home screen.

What if I forgot my password?
No worries! Just tap âRecover your accountâ on the login screen and follow the prompts to reset your password.

Can I log in on more than one device?
Yes! You can log into CareApp on multiple devices â just use your same email and password on each one.
DeleteI accepted the invite but still canât log in â why?
Make sure youâve fully completed the setup by clicking the âAccept Your Accountâ button in your invitation email. If the link still works and allows you to accept, follow the prompts to finish setting up your account.
Once thatâs done, try logging in â or use the âRecover your accountâ option on the login screen if needed.

Home đ
The Home screen shows all updates: Notices, Notes, Photos, Videos, and Wellbeing Checks.
Tap Home to return anytime.
Pinned notices appear at the top for important updates.
Scroll down to see posts about your loved one and tap each post to view details and comments.

Communities đ¤
Tap Communities to see your loved oneâs profile.
In the Feed, you can see all posts for your loved one.
Check the Community section for staff and family connected to your loved one.
Use Files to see documents or links related to your loved one.
Notifications đ
Tap the bell icon to see new updates, comments, and posts.

Tap the three lines to access:
Account info (name, account type, community)
Switch between multiple communities
Leave Feedback for your care community
Settings to change name, password, email, phone, and notifications
