CareApp’s moderation feature makes it easy to review posts before they are shared with family, which is one of the things that makes the platform so user-friendly and unique. It allows your team to create posts freely while giving coordinators and administrators the ability to check, edit, and approve content, ensuring that every post sent to families is accurate, clear, and appropriate.

Sharing posts with family keeps loved ones connected and up to date with what’s happening in their community. By moderating posts first, you can maintain consistency, prevent errors, and make sure every communication reflects the quality of care your team provides.

Who Can Share Posts

  • Site Coordinators and Provider Administrators can:

    • Create posts and share them with family immediately while posting.

    • Review and share posts created by team members to ensure they are accurate, appropriate, and complete.

Team Members don't share directly with Family

Team Members can create posts, but cannot share them directly with family. This moderation step is part of CareApp’s privacy by design, allowing posts to be reviewed before they reach families and giving you control over what content is shared.

Sharing Posts With Family

Sharing Posts Created by Team Members

  1. In the feed, locate the post you want to share.

  2. Tap Share with Family under the post.

    • If the post has already been shared, it will display “Shared with Family.”

  3. Optionally, edit the caption before sharing.

  4. Tap Share to send the post to all family members connected to the customer’s profile.

Alternative: You can also share from the Notifications tab:

  1. Open the Notifications tab (bell icon).

  2. Find the post flagged for sharing pinned to the top of the Notification tab.

  3. Tap Share with Family, edit if needed, then tap Share.

Sharing Posts Created by Coordinators or Administrators

  • While creating a post, check the “Share with Family” box before posting.

  • Once posted, it will automatically share with family, removing the need for additional steps.

What Happens After Sharing

  • Posts display “Shared with Family” under the post in the feed.

  • Family members receive a notification and can react (heart) and comment on the post.

  • This keeps families engaged and connected while maintaining a high standard of communication.
