Sharing information on CareApp

CareApp provides an authenticated form of sharing information, which incorporates password protection and encrypted data.

When a post is created on CareApp, connected Family will receive an email notification which they can click on to view the new post on their CareApp account. They don't receive any personal information or photos via email, but always use CareApp which is password protected and encrypted.

This means that Family can continue using email to receive information about their loved-one, but with the added layer of protection that CareApp provides.

CareApp is also a quicker alternative to email for staff; creating one post on CareApp rather than sending multiple emails can be a huge time saver!

Approved posts shared with invited recipients

CareApp has been designed with privacy in mind. The user interface of CareApp only allows approved staff and family members to receive information posted on CareApp.

Connected family members can only see posts in CareApp from their loved one's profile once it has been approved by a Site Coordinator to be shared with the Family.

Staff can only create and view posts on Customer profiles that they are connected to - this can be set at an individual staff member level.

Media and sharing settings

CareApp has user interface features which prevent the posting of video or photos of clients or residents who do not wish to have their photo taken. If you have a client or resident with a ‘no media’ preference you can switch media (photos and videos) off in their profile settings.

Once the media setting is switched off members will be blocked from posting any Photos or Videos to that Customer profile. This prevents the accidental sharing of unapproved media.

Acceptable use of CareApp

When a member creates an account on CareApp they accept our user agreement that lays out the acceptable use of CareApp, which is intended to reinforce a respectful contribution by all users of CareApp.

"This acceptable use policy sets out a list of acceptable and unacceptable conduct for our Services. If we believe that a violation of the policy is deliberate, repeated or presents a credible risk of harm to other users, our customers, the Services or any third parties, we may suspend or terminate your access."

CareApp Safety Data Storage

CareApp treats the security and privacy of customer data with the utmost importance. We are committed to securing customer data and ensuring continuity of access. We use a variety of industry-standard services and technologies to protect customer data from unauthorised access, disclosure, and loss.
