Badges are a simple, visible way to recognise a staff member in CareApp. When a badge is applied, it appears as a small icon on a staff member’s profile photo in CareApp—highlighting their contributions for everyone to see.

What are CareApp Badges for?
Badges are designed to acknowledge staff members for their contribution or CareApp role. They help foster a culture of recognition and give staff a visible sense of appreciation.
Who can receive a badge?
Badges are available for different achievements. You can view badge-specific info in the sections below.
Who can assign a badge?
Badges can be assigned by Site Coordinators and Provider Administrators.
Can I assign a badge to myself?
Yes! If you are eligible for the badge, you can assign a badge to your own account by following the steps below.
🌟Assign your own badge
- Log into your account on CareApp web.

2. Scroll to the bottom of the menu and click Manage profile.

3. Click on Badges in the Additional settings.

4. Switch on the badge you would like to assign.

Complete!
Now you have added a badge to your own account. You will be able to see the badge appear on your profile photo on posts, comments and in the community of your Customer Profiles.

How do I apply a badge to others?
If you have a Site Coordinator or Provider Administrator account, you can apply badges to other members accounts.
🏅Apply a badge to staff accounts
- Log into a Site Coordiantor or Provider Administrator acocunt on CareApp web
- Go to the Members tab in CareApp Web
- Search for the staff member’s name
- Click into their profile
- Scroll to the Badges section
- Toggle the relevant badge on, then click Save
- The badge will appear on their profile photo immediately.
Complete!
This member has now been designated as a CareApp Champion. You will be able to see the badge appear on their profile photo on their posts, comments, and in the community of your Customer Profiles.

Note: A member can only have 1 badge on their profile, if a staff member already has the CareApp Champion badge, assigning the Top Contributor badge will automatically replace it.

The CareApp Champion badge recognises the key staff members who lead CareApp at their site. Champions are often the go-to people for onboarding families and staff, managing posts, and making sure customer profiles stay up to date.
We recommend assigning at least two CareApp Champions per site to keep things running smoothly and consistently.

This badge is ideal for staff who:
✅ Post regularly and with care
✅ Share meaningful updates about residents or clients
✅ Help build trust and connection through consistent communication
Who can receive a Top Contributor Badge?
The Top Contributor badge is available to all staff roles.
It’s perfect for staff members who are active, engaged, and consistently contribute valuable content on CareApp.
