Care Provider: Share a post with Family on CareApp
If you have a Provider Administrator or Site Coordinator account on CareApp you can share posts (Photo, Note and Video) with Family accounts.
If a post says “Tap to view and share” it has not yet been shared with Family.
Once a post is shared with Family, the Family connected to the Customer profile of the post will receive a notification to let them know a new post has been created. They can log into their CareApp account to view the post and heart or comment on it.
There are two places on CareApp where you can share posts with Family.
- The Notifications tab - the easiest way to manage sharing posts with families
- On the Home screen or Customer profile

The Notificaitons tab
1 Tap on the bell icon on the home screen to view your Notifications
2 Your Notifications will let you know when new posts have been created on CareApp. Scroll down the Notifications to find new posts (Photo, Note or Video). If a post has not been shared with Family it will say “Share with Family” - To share the post tap “Share with Family”
3 Edit the Note or Photo/ Video caption if needed
4 Tap “Share” to share the post with Family
Once the post has been shared with family it will say “Shared with Family” on the top of the post on the home screen and in the Notifications tab.
On the Home screen
1 Tap on a post from the home screen or on the Customer profile to open it
2 Tap “Share this”
3 Tap “With Family”
4 Edit the Note or Photo/ Video caption if needed
5 Tap “Share” to share the post with Family
Once the post has been shared with family it will say “Shared with Family” on the top of the post on the home screen.
