Sometimes you might no longer be able to access the email address you used to sign up for CareApp, for example, you’ve changed email addresses or can’t log into it anymore.

Don’t worry! You can still get back into your CareApp account and keep all your existing permissions and connections.

Option 1: If you still know your CareApp password

If you remember your password, you can log in even if your email address is no longer active:

  1. Go to the CareApp login page.
  2. Enter your old email address and your CareApp password.
  3. Once logged in, go to Account Settings and update your email address to one you currently use.
  4. For guidance, see our full instructions on updating your email address.

This is the easiest and fastest option.

Option 2: If you forgot your CareApp password and cannot access your old email account

If you cannot access the email address and have forgotten your CareApp password, you won’t be able to use the standard account recovery flow on your CareApp account - because the verification code is sent to your old email address.

In this case:

  1. Contact your Care Provider and let them know you need a new account with your new email address.
  2. The provider will send a new invitation to your updated email address.
  3. Accept the invitation and create your new account.

The provider can assign the same role and connect you to the same customer profile(s) as your old account, so you won’t lose access.

Once your new account is set up, the provider can deactivate your old account to avoid duplication.
