🟦 Button doesn’t work
Try the manual invitation link (most common fix)
If you click the “Accept Invitation to CareApp” button and nothing happens, this is often caused by email privacy settings, security filters, or firewalls blocking the pop-up or redirect.

What to do:
- Open your CareApp invitation email
- Scroll all the way to the bottom of the email
- Look for a manual invitation link (usually a large blue link)
- Copy the link
- Paste it directly into your web browser’s address bar (e.g. Chrome, Safari, Edge)
- This should take you straight to the page where you can continue accepting your invitation.
If this works:
Continue following the on-screen steps to complete your account setup.
If this doesn’t work:
If you see an error message or the link still won’t open, please contact CareApp Support for assistance:

🟦 Can’t create account
You reach “Welcome to CareApp” but can’t proceed
If clicking “Accept Invitation to CareApp” takes you to the Welcome to CareApp screen, but:
- The Create Account button doesn’t work, or
- You’re unable to continue
It’s likely that you already have a CareApp account using the same email address.
What to do instead:
- Go back and click the invitation link again
- On the Welcome to CareApp screen, select Sign in with existing account
- Log in using your email address and password
Forgot your password?
You can reset it from the login screen:
➡️ How to Reset Your CareApp Password
Once signed in, the invitation should automatically link you to the correct CareApp profile.
🟦 Invitation expired or cancelled
Error: invitation cancelled or expired
If you click Accept Invitation to CareApp and see an error saying the invitation has been cancelled or expired, this means the invitation is no longer active.
What this means:
- Expired invitation: In some cases, CareApp Support may be able to resend a new invitation
- Cancelled invitation: The invitation was intentionally removed and cannot be reused
What to do next:
If you’re unsure whether the invitation was expired or cancelled, please contact CareApp Support
If the invitation has been cancelled, the provider team will need to reinstate and resend the invitation before you can access CareApp
CareApp Support can help confirm the status of the invitation and advise on the next steps.
